I thought the premise of the original post was that because Trump allegedly has anti-semitic supporters, Trump himself is clearly anti-semitic too. No?
No. That is not the premise of the original post. I am now completely convinced that Trump supporters are completely unable to read and comprehend simple English. Here is the last paragraph of my original post: I assume that Trump grew up among Jews and has associated and worked with them nearly his entire life. His son-in-law is Jewish. His speech to AIPAC was as strong as any that has been delivered. So, I don't believe for a second that Trump himself is the slightest anti-Semitic. However, it does seem that he is comfortable having the support of anti-Semites. My assumption is that Trump's entire campaign has been based on fleecing the rubes and white supremacists are just one more group of rubes to fleece. But, like so much else about the Trump campaign, in the process of taking advantage of the rubes, he is unleashing a lot of dangerous forces in society. Anti-Semitism is one of the more dangerous. My concern is the bolded. Trump is giving legitimacy to anti-Semitism by retweeting the tweets of neo-Nazis, stumbling over how to handle David Duke, and failing to renounce anti-Semitic attacks by his supporters.
