I tried to report something to CPS in Montgomery County. They wanted my name and phone number which was fine with me. I decided not to report it because while they wouldn't give the parent involved my name, they would have to describe the situation in which it occurred. It would have been obvious who could have reported it. I wear a name badge and I have no idea if he noticed it, but I did not want him to have any personal information about me. It is really tough to see something bad happen to a child and not report it because of fear of personal safety. This was ten years ago and I still am horrified.
Frankly, I'm a little horrified that you claim to have witnesses something CPS-worthy, and yet you were afraid of a confrontation so you let it go.
Im horrifed too. But if they lost all morals and are willing to rape their own child I'd be fearful what they could do to my family.
So you let a child rapist go -- you are just as bad as the rapist.
Wait, you WITNESSED a child being raped and you didn't do anything?
I'm the PP who tried to report something to CPS in Montgomery County. It was not rape. I could never let that go. What I witnessed wasn't good, but it certainly wasn't rape. As to being afraid of a confrontation -- I wouldn't have confronted him, but if CPS told him about the incident, he would have known it was me. What I didn't know was whether he knew my name. I do not want to endanger my own children for some crazy person seeking revenge.
+1
So once again, it is ok to see a child being abused and not report it. ok
We get it, please stop.
Why? Seriously! OP gets to post a million different(but the same) reasons he/she did not report the child abuse but I cannot say that is not a good thing?
