This is OP. It happened again today- how do I know? Because I put his initials on the back of the pull-up with a sharpie before I dropped him off. At pickup he was soaking wet again and had on the initiated pull-up. I immediately went to the Director (who I didn't talk to at drop off because she was at an appointment) showed her the photo of the pull-up I took this morning and she saw his pants. Told her I am removing him immediately and will be contacting licensing. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate the rational and reasonable advice I received. To people like the pp calling my son mute, I hope you rot in hell and you probably work at my sons daycare. No living being (animal, child, elderly) should be treated like this ever and there is absolutely no rationale for this. This is again a very "coveted" accredited center in a close in suburb in nova. I was planning on sending the twins there until now obviously, so this isn't me just being picky- I'm the one who loses because now I have to find a daycare for my three kids and hire a nanny in the meantime.
I understand you're upset, but it still isn't quite clear to me that he was sitting in filth all day, like you claim. How long has your DS been at this daycare? My son had a real problem withholding when he was in turmoil (e.g., transition to a new classroom). When he was 3 and moved up to the preschool class, it took WEEKS for us to realize that he was holding his pee in the ENTIRE day. Like 10 hours. Because they would take them to the potty, but they weren't bothering to make sure he had gone pee because he was dry every time. It could be that the daycare was treating it like underwear and taking him to the potty all day, but he held it in because he's stressed out/uncertain. Then when you showed up to take him home, both days, he relaxed because mom is there, and everything all came out at once.
