I didn't feel particularly bad for Marnie - after all, she's still the same self-absorbed girl.  The scene in the dress shop was priceless, when she was blabbing on about herself and the poor clerk immediately knew what she was dealing with.

I couldn't understand how Marnie was so comfortable with Charlie being a drug dealer.  She seemed to have zero problems with it.  I am SO GLAD she gave Desi the heave-ho.  What a whiny, insecure, needy, incredibly unattractive loser.  Her face said it all when she looked at him with disgust as he was blubbering (again) on the stairs.  Ugh.  [/quote]

I think we saw her growing up, though.  She starts babbling about herself, saying she's "25 & 1/2" and apparently learns something from the clerk's reaction.  She turns around and has the same reaction to the young blond "25 & 1/2" year old girlfriend of the rich guy a little later.  I think it was an ah-ha evening for her.[/quote]
