Oh, that is total BS that they didn't know about that unless they both started to work at that hotel within the past couple of days.  You can bet that guests are regularly less than pleased to find out about this two way mirror feature in their room.  And probably a lot of them find out the hard way about it - after being embarrassed.

I looked at the TripAdvisor reviews and I had to read through some reviews before I saw any mention of that mirror.  There is nothing that I've seen that really warns people about that mirror, either.  I looked around the hotel website, if it's mentioned I didn't see it.

I can totally see how the Op chose this hotel room based on it being a luxury hotel and not realizing this creeper feature was in shower.
