The people who think they've figured out who everyone is in this thread is wrong. I've seen some responses to posts of mine who think I'm on the board. I'm not. I'm not even defending the current board, though I know a couple of quality people on it. My posts today, by timestamp: 11:02 12:33 12:37 13:35 14:08 15:33 Someone else in this thread is defending the state of the club as it stands now. I'm not. The new TD was a horrible hire, and when I've seen board members try to implore him to do things like reinstating Friday night free play, he says a bunch of incoherent nonsense. I WILL say that VYS is a good-sized club, and that means parents' and players' experiences will vary. If you're playing House -- which would be everyone in U5 through U8, about 75% of U9 through U12 boys (maybe closer to 66% of girls), and maybe half of the high schoolers -- the political nonsense barely affects you. I have one kid in VYS House and one kid playing travel elsewhere, and I'm perfectly happy with each of their situations. And some of this "president of the week" stuff doesn't apply to the past. VYS had one president for several years until she moved to an At-Large position in 2014. Then another president served a full one-year term for 2014-15, and he moved to an At-Large position. THIS year, the new president resigned a few months into the year. So Eddie's situation was not handled by a "president of the week."
