I am a Latin parent, and I feel awful for the child who was victimized.  I am in the camp of people who think the punishment does not fit the crime.   I don't see the compassion for those students, and I'm curious - if Latin was NOT showing compassion for the students that committed this crime, what would it look like?  What actions would they have taken beyond expelling them?[/quote]
