If what you say is correct, then your daughter is not understanding THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WORKSHEETS THAT SHE IS GETTING. That might be because she doesn't understand the terms. In that case, you should work on the terms with her. Or it might be because the instructions on the worksheets are unclear. In that case, you should talk to the teacher. And if it's an issue with the instructions on the worksheet, then this is not a Common Core issue. This is an issue WITH THE MATERIALS YOUR DAUGHTER'S CLASS IS USING. There were unclear worksheets before the Common Core standards, and there will be unclear worksheets long after the Common Core standards are gone. (Capital letters for emphasis.)[/quote]
