That's not exactly true.  Herschel Grynszpan killed a German diplomat, and it precipitated Kristallnacht.  I am not suggesting that the Jews deserved this.  I am saying the opposite - that the actions of a bad few should not justify oppressing the many.  And racists can always find a pretext for their desires.  They did it then, and I believe they are doing it now.

For months I saw conservative posters decry the terrible atrocities perpetrated by ISIS.  And now a few months later, we turn away the very victims of these atrocities because we found a Syrian passport at the Paris attacks.  Did you ever really care?  [/quote]

Glenn Beck, who identifies as Mormon, wants to do a bit more than "re-settle" some Christians.  He actually referenced "smuggling" individuals into the US, referencing some bridges across the Rio Grande -- not that you can trust most of the bat shit crazy that falls out of his mouth.  I'm left wondering whether he considers the Syriac Orthodox Church as "Christian"?[/quote]
