What kind of an idiot would load a bunch of 80-something WWII vets with prostates the size of grapefruit on a bus to sit on a bus for a couple of hours only to find when they arrive at their destination that THERE ARE NO OPEN BATHROOMS AT THE MONUMENTS BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS SHUT DOWN.  Not to mention, nobody to empty trash or pick up (and prior to DC government stepping in there were rats and wildlife scattering trash from the overflowing bins)...  Or the fact that there had been a spate of vandalism attempts on the memorials just a few months prior (oh, fine, let's just let people have unfettered access to trash them)  Not to mention all of the other upkeep that keeps these places worthwhile visiting.  Yet dipshits like you evidently thought there is no expense, no resources needed, that monuments and memorials somehow magically keep themselves up.  You have demonstrated you have no clue about how anything works.  [/quote]
