There are so many great beers and so many varieties of beer in the U.S. You sound like one of my friends who went to Berlin once and now thinks the only good beer is German beer. True, Germany makes some good beers, but they lack the variety and complexity of a lot of American beers. That said, you don't have to get a crazy microbrew to a good American beer. Anything made by Sierra Nevada or Boston Brewing (aka the Sam Adams beers) will hold up to anything made in Europe, except for maybe Heineken ;)[/quote] D'OH!
