[quote=Anonymous]I admit i am not aware of most current TV but the last show i enjoyed was Modern Family - very funny and entertaining. Nothing else has made me laugh or want to watch regularly since ... Ummmmm ... Cheers??! Maybe Everybody Hates Chris. In my opinion every sitcom type show has a shelf life - they just don't stay funny for years on end. I think Cheers ran so long because of the main actors turning over so often, it kept the show fresh in a way. But for me, they all "jump the shark" after 3 or 4 years. The characters get stale and so do the jokes. This is coming from a person with short attention span obviously! My kids (ages 10 - 16) have seen bits and pieces of many popular shows from past decades. Some hits and some misses, not so much laughing though. they have some nostalgic value to me but not laugh out loud funny. A few exceptions are Taxi (Danny DeVito!!!!), everybody loves Raymond (sorry haters) and The Fresh Prince. They are much more into sketch comedy shows, i don't think they follow any show regularly.
