Yeah I agree with the article; I used to go out all the time, but now I rarely do with the exception of take out.

I've found that if I want good food, I usually have to go high end or get cheap ethnic.  And the cheap ethnic places are mostly in places like Annandale or Wheaton; true, there are a few places in DC, but I'm not posting here because I don't want them ruined.  They aren't exactly cheap either, but cheap enough.

I can't really think of too many restaurants with a nice vibe that aren't very expensive.

Le Diplomate is not about the food.  It's a chain specializing in the experience and the setting.  It's basically a place for hipster douches with trust funds[/quote]
