Not PP but yes, of course my child is the most important person on earth to me.  However that is not the issue - older/bigger kids will always need to be considerate of smaller/ younger kids.  That is simply the way it is.  I will teach my little kid to be the same when he is older.

We do have two separated parks in my neighborhood - one for five and under and one for older kids.  I have never let my toddler in the older kids section and wouldn't.  However of course older kids are going to be in the little kids section occasionally if they younger siblings.  And yes - absolutely I correct and have yelled at older kids.  And I will continue to do so.  [/quote]

Well, YOU are bigger and older than the seven year old so YOU need to "always" be considerate of the kids, all the kids, by moving your baby off the big kid equipmemt when the children it was designed for want to use it.

What kind of parent plops her baby on a piece of playground equipment like a big kid slide or the wobbly bridge and then expects all the age appropriate kids to avoid using an entire section of their playground, and thinks it is appropriate for an adult to yell at them?

The adult is the only person in the wrong in this situation.

It's simple. If things get too rough for a baby or toddler on the big kid playground, move the baby or toddler out of the way.

Do not yell at a seven year old who is just using the playground appropriately (running and jumping on or off a playgrounf IS using it appropriately btw)
