Actually we do--possibly even more than 8 times, because she tries to weasel treats out of us each time. Our dog is on prednisone, so she drinks a lot and therefore pees a lot. She'll usually get up with me at 7am to potty before I go to work; DH will leave her out at 9am when he leaves for work; she wears a diaper until he comes home at lunch to let her out around 1pm and then diapers her again; I let her out when I get home at 5; she'll then want to go out after dinner and 1-2 more times before bed. She'll want out at 12am and 3am. Is it an inconvenience? Yes, but we love her and don't want her to get a bladder infection or UTI. No resentment or laziness--we both pitch in for our dog.

We rarely find her doggie diapers wet, but put them on her just in case.

Are you using just the disposable potty pads or do you have a holder? (I'd be less grossed out by your balcony "arrangement" if you were using a holder or Tinkle Turf.)

You say your DH is walking the dog twice? You can't bother to take the dog out front to pee 1-2 times throughout the day? Smh
