They certainly had some sort of exotic accent which I'd always asssumed was Polish, until I met a Polish person in real life and had doubts. They were characters. They pretty much never left the building (we only lived there three months) and only seemed to talk to each other and us. In retrospect I suppose somebody may have been mentally ill.[/quote]
