But black people haven't cornered the market on prejudice. It was just as 'inhospitable' when my cousin got off a bus in Anacostia to walk a block to an internship at a public school (against my advice I might add) and kept getting screamed at, i.e. "Hey, what's that white girl doing here?" "Let's get the white girl". She turned down that internship, which is a shame, because she really wanted to help those inner city elementary school children. [/quote]
