All the other family members' symptoms are about the same or worse than DC. All of the adults in my family who have Asperger's are very successful in their careers, very well educated and are married w/kids (have found spouses) so it gives me hope that my child's life will turn out the same if not better. But yes, I think I cope better and understand people with Asperger's better than most. I like and enjoy being around people with Asperger's. But I still expect my kid to have manners, be polite, and get along with others. Asperger's isn't an excuse for being an ass or being a brat.[/quote]
