I get the sense that in these threads it is not so much Washingtonians being threatened, it's the pro-New York faction that shoots down any comparison as being laughable because Washington couldn't possibly be anywhere as fabulous as even the worst part of New York. Personally, I've lived in both places and have been happy in both places. There are some similarities but obviously many differences. Which is better is a matter of opinion.[/quote]
