Oh please.  She does not live in DC, I'm guessing by "its environs" you mean she hangs out in downtown silver spring on saturday nights, which is not the same thing as living in dupont and having to walk to get groceries occasionally.

Different poster here.  You do realize that Montgomery County is about 5 seconds over the DC line and would be considered less hip than DC.  So if that's the case, and nobody is looking at her punk fashion cross eyed, then people most likely aren't that upset in DC.  Do you get that?  I think you are trying to quote different posters?  Green hair isn't shocking.  I think we can all easily agree on that.[/quote]
