WTF?  If you don't want to do it, don't participate.  I don't see what the big deal is.

I think it's fine, and I'm not normally one to get into sh&t like this.  My kids enjoy going out after dark and trying to trick the neighbors.  It's cheap candy in a paper bag that literally takes 5 minutes.  I don't care who else in the neighborhood does or doesn't do it.  I completely understand if someone else doesn't have the time.  Last year, we had a new baby, and I didn't get around to it.  NBD.  And, I'm a WOHM.

Oh, and the thing specifically says that you leave it somewhere that there is no paper already posted.  The whole point is to get as many NEW houses as possible.  It is not a 'popularity contest' as some of the PPs mention.  [/quote]
