Here's a little data to add to this discussion too: fewer people die from terrorism in our country yet how much does our government spend fighting terrorism? Alcohol related crime and disease are enough of a burden to our society that we have to address it. To be precise, $223.5 billion is what it is costing our society. It causes 10% of deaths among working age adults alone. So don't try winning this one. You won't be able to. And this isn't from a holy than thou perspective. These are the facts and it makes me sick to my stomach. If it doesn't make you cringe, something is wrong with you and you're contributing to the problem.
