[/quote] So you are advocating that we should have the same insane after-school tutoring for young children that the Asian countries have? No thanks. If that means the US lags behind in some test scores, I'll take that over a generation of kids that have only known after school tutoring and not have a childhood. IMO, life is more than just test scores and getting into an Ivy. In the US, a person can go to a 2nd tier college and still have a great job and a happy life. This may not be the case in Asian countries. I'm pretty sure without Kumon a person can do just as well in life.[/quote]
