Examiners get six figure pay with no graduate education, compensation for traveling, and stipends to cover all their meals while at a bank -- senior management is almost exclusively former examiners, all of whom are paid well over $200,000. I think they make out pretty well. Don't really know what economists make or how hard they are put to work, seems to be a pretty nine to five position. Admins are already paid well over market rate for their services. Really difficult to see who has room to complain about their pay at the banking agencies, especially relative to the lawyers, who actually do way more work than the posters give them credit for.[/quote]
