-1000  If Clooney didn't care, he wouldn't have his name splashed everywhere- go to every Hollywood event/Oscars etc.  That is not a screw you type of attitude- he cares about being in the spotlight and active- even if he wants the perception to be that he doesn't (so in that aspect- he is successful in conveying that).[/quote]

THat still doesn't make sense to me.  I get that he likes being famous.   But he knows that if he came out now, with a whole heart-wrenching "I wish I'd had the courage to do this earlier, but i thought it would ruin my career..." thing, he would be celebrated by everyone.  If anything, it would raise his profile at this point.  Maybe he'd lose the rom-com roles (maybe), but who cares?  He's not doing that much anyway and seems to be more into his Syriana type of movies these days.  
Anyway, not like it matters.  I bet he doesn't give a crap whether people think he's gay or not.[/quote]
