I agree that Stuy et al are great schools but so is Trinity, Horace Mann, Collegiate,etc.  I have friends and relatives who'd gone to either and  it really depends.  Going to private school is not a free ride.  All kids at these schools are worked like dogs and know the meaning of hard work - that's the only way to do well.  I'm a pp and we will be back in NYC by high school and while we'll have DC take the test for Stuy, it won't be our first choice.[/quote]
