I guess I'm one of the few who figured: 1) she was rich 2) not everyone of her recipes was stellar 3) she had some sort of help I mean who the hell thinks that one person does all of that...but even if you have childcare or household help doesn't mean you don't do things for your family....cook, clean...whateva! I don't get the feeling of being duped...must be some really dummies out there !!
Eh. I don't hate her with the fire of 10000 suns or anything, but you have to admit that it's not like she's just letting people assume she does it all on her own. On her blog, she actively cultivates the persona that she's doing this on her own, isn't rich, etc. It's not just a lie of omission, she's clearly pushing a fake persona. Which, whatever, but it is kind of gross.
I never, ever got this, never. I always assumed she had money -- her family has a huge ranch that has been handed down for a couple of generations, that says money. The ranch is huge, says money to me. I think people just assumed that because she was on a ranch and did not scream "money" , that she did not have money. I honestly think a lot of people duped themselves. I just don't get it.
Well, I assumed they had money, but they're like bajillionaires. And frankly, it's not so much that they have money so much as it's that they have staff doing the homeschooling, the cooking, the cleaning, the ranch work, blah blah blah, but she pretty explicitly claims to be "doing it all." Like I said, not the biggest deal, but it's pretty off-putting -- like when a blogger writes a whole post about how much they LOVE their new, I don't know, toothpaste, and then at the end, you find out that they got paid by the toothpaste company. It doesn't ruin my day or anything, but...ew.
I hear you, I don't know, I just always figure that you are not getting the "entire" story, but I work in TV so...there's that. I don't find her "ew" though -- I never had any expectations of her.
I can see that. To clarify, though, I've never seen her show. I've only read her blog.
I don't love or hate her, but I must say that Marlboro Woman is a few cigarettes short of a full pack. Anyone who makes a living, hobby, passion, purpose , or obsession from stalking/hating someone is nuts. All the time and energy she's putting into hating on PW, that heffa could have cured cancer by now. IJS!
