We live in a 2800 sq.ft sfh and have two local rental condos.  We live  near good schools so our kids go to public school.  We have a twice a month house cleaner.

I drive a 9 year old Hybrid, DH a 2 year old large SUV.

We vacation every two years in Hawaii and rent someone's Marriott 1 bdrm. timeshare usually for around $1500. We also vacation in the very exotic locations of FL, NY, VT and stay with family.  We own a RV/trailer and camp in the summer almost every other weekend with another family.

Kids take music and swim lessons, dance, sports and just started horseback riding once a week.  We belong to a pretty high end gym/club but DH's company pays for the family membership.

Our DC look forward to participating in our 2x yearly neighborhood garage sale.  They are responsible for going through their stuff to decide what to sell.  They make signs, price the stuff, set it all out and collect the money.  They also do a lemonade stand with  snacks to raise money for the animal shelter  (we've owned two dogs - both were rescue dogs).  100% of the lemonade stand goes to the shelter, 10% of their "stuff" sales goes to another charity of their choice, 40% to the bank and 40% as spending money.

DC wear clothes from Mini Boden/JohnnieB, Gap, Old Navy, Macy's but I bargain shop and always shop sales.  DH lives in Burberry polo shirts I buy on sale during Nordstrom Men's sale.  I wear mall stores mid-range clothing - but again - always on sale.

We are a big supporter of education and make significant donations to education and literacy programs of all kinds, our university and a foreign exchange program DH participated in when he was a teenager.

What's our vice??? - high end steak houses and dive-diners!  We don't think twice about a weekly family dinner at BLT, Morton's, Capital Grille etc...

Am I unapologetically rich?  Yes - but then again no one knows that we are so I have no one to apologize to!    [/quote]
