Every other big point of contention raised here about other schools has at least a few knowledgable-sounding people weighing in with exanations or details. Not saying one should believe people are who they say they are, but usually there's at lead enough of a response to get an idea of what's going on. Re: the secret, non-public CM lottery, I have seen zero justifications or rationalizations. And really, how can you justify a non-public process? There is no other way to see it except that they are not totally kosher. On the wait list and going down to 50, highly doubt that (based on what number try were at near the end of the summer), but of course no one will ever really know, since they never published the wait list or the acceptance list.[/quote]
