I wore tampons my whole life pre kids too, even swore that I would never wear pads because they were gross. But tampons were very uncomfortable after kids, I could always feel them and they dried me out.  I couldn't use pads either, they made my skin burn.  All of them except the awful huge ones from the hospital.   I used a Diva cup-like thing for awhile,  and then switched to cloth pads.

Just google 'cloth pads'.  You'll get plenty of info.

I tried a few different styles and brands before I found the kind I like the most.
