To the PP who says she is too cold or too hot or frankly, lazy to park and walk in Bethesda Town Center: guess what, you're not the target demographic. When you get a babysitter for the evening like the rest of us, you'll enjoy strolling around and eating outdoors at sidewalk cafés again, if you ever did.
Actually, they are. Look at the census stats on Bethesda and it's very heavily families. I walk around Bethesda with DD most weekday afternoons and it's indeed fairly annoying when it's a cold spell like we've been having. Much easier to park in a mall garage then make the dash to inside the mall and not worry about DD getting too cold, as I do when we walk around Bethesda.
I agree about the families. I've got 4 kids and live in AU Park over the line in DC. I've also lived in DC 35 years. We participate on Bethesda swim teams, etc. But have you ever gone to Bethesda at night? It's all people over 35 out for date night away from the kids. And if you bring you kids with you in some places, that's fine too. But they make the big bugs from affluent groups of older people spending money on drinks and expensive dinners. Not parents out doing power walks with their strollers.
