Agree.  I live in the suburbs in MD.  I don't see how you're going to get a 20 minute commute to capitol hill without living in D.C.  People need to face reality.  Even Arlington is tricky.  Sure a 20 minute commute from Arlington to Capitol hill is theoretically possible but most people i know who actually drive that commute on a daily basis say it's more 40 minutes, even early in the morning.

I think this is the rare thread where people ARE being honest. Generally, you see ridiculous threads where people are advocating places like Vienna and Rockville for their "quick" commutes into town -- 30 minutes door to door! This is the first thread where people who live in ARLINGTON (how much closer can you get, really?) are suggesting that a 20 minute commute during rush hour is an impossibility. However, at 6:45 a.m., it's a no-brainer. You can clearly get from Arlington to the Hill in 20 minutes at 6:45 a.m. Not at 7:45 a.m. Not at 8:45 a.m. Not at 5 p.m. But at non-rush-hour times? Of course you can![/quote]
