My exterminator took care of them in one visit. Also, make sure that every teeny tiny hole is sealed up. I think they were squeezing in under our old basement door. Haven't seen any lately. God, they are DISGUSTING. Thank you to the poster who mentioned the holes in the laundry. I thought we had moths, but now I'm guessing it was the crickets. GROSS.
This is nonsense. You cannot seal up every single hole in the basement. the exterminator is only good for approximately 4 months.
Yep. I've had the exterminator come and I've sealed all crevices and they still came back. I put down the rat poison under the washer and I haven't seen one in six months.
But the problem with that is if the cricket eats the rat poison, crawls out from under the washer/dryer, and then your pet eats the cricket, it can kill your pet depending on its size. I have 2 cats and I have had to take them to the vet for eating crickets. Both got the runs and the vet found cricket bodies in their stool samples. So I don't want my cats killing and eating them either. I'm purchasing some glue strips tonight, but will keep them away from the cats.
