Corn isn't a good commerical crop in this area but it's still easily grown. Anyone trying to grow anything in their yards here has to improve the soil - more LOAMY soil is needed, not sand. Sand has no nutrituve value and doesn't hold water well. All the soils here need more organic material to make them loamy. [/quote]
