At middle age, since you're in the "middle" you have to juggle the old lady stuff and the trendy stuff.  That's what I do.  A little bit of Forever 21 here a little Talbots there some Coldwater Creek some Gap... If you're overweight, you should get slimmer.  Heart disease, diabetes and breast cancer is dropping women like flies.  Overweight is not good.

As for sensible shoes, there are all manner of super cute flats that are in style.  I live in flats even though I'm short. They look best with straight leg pants, which all women can wear.[/quote]
