A friend of mine did it for her 2nd and she swore she had so much more energy and less depression. It is supposed to help keep your hormones from crashing and let's them slowly return to normal levels, preventing depression. Lots of doulas do it for around $250. And yes, you just request it from the hospital-- probably put it in a birth plan beforehand so they know not to toss it.[/quote]
