Thanks everyone for your responses. I will admit some comments were more helpful than others and who ever wrote the post "have some decency" I agree was not helpful or appropriate!! Should I openly ask the mother this question? My bikinis are two piece but not skimpy, but I am shopping around for a one piece to alternate if not solely wear the one piece. What are water shorts by the way?? I would feel fine wearing my bikinis taking the kids to the pool alone but what if and when the parents join me should I wear a one piece? I would feel fine wearing them in front of mom, assuming she isn't a jealous person (i doubt she is). But if its me kids and dad that could be awkward... I'm not sure if I'm overanalizing the entire situation, just trying to find a solution before the pools day start!
Get the jealous out of your mind...no one cares. What people care about is you teaching their children that women are sex objects. I don't want my son seeing women as meat. I don't want my daughter thinking she is meat so she has to dress that way. And I personally don't want to be distracted by you flopping around, and neither does my husband. Grow the hell up. No one is jealous of your lack of discretion.
LMAO You can think all you want but I bet your husband thinks otherwise. Probably loves the distraction from the hag...I mean nag....of a wife.
You should get rid of the whore mentality. It is bad for women. All women are not scheming whores but women like you don't help. All men are not disrespectful horn dogs and some do try and control lustful urges.
A little feminism 101. Sex shaming is not how feminism works, that's how catty women think feminism works. You must have some real hang ups to think a woman who wears a bikini is "slutty".
I am not a feminist. Feminism is repulsive. I do however support women being treated with respect and not being seen as sex objects. Women are not sex objects, but you can't have it both ways. Either you want to be respected as a human being, or you don't. You should be ashamed of being a slut, that is not a virtue. Sex is for the bedroom or your private kitchen, not for public areas and certainly it is not to be used to manipulate or as a one up over another woman. Get a life and a brain.
Are you the same woman who finds locker rooms repulsive? Why do you think women should be treated with respect if "feminism" - the idea that women should be treated with the same respect afforded to men - is repulsive? I don't think you know what feminism means.
What about locker rooms? I know what feminism is, and it is ugly. Men and women are equal, but they are not the same. Modern feminism does not allow for this distinction. Feminism sounds nice but it has a dirty agenda that is reprehensible.
I am about to do you a huge favor and keep you from embarrassing yourself any further - feminism does *not* mean that men and women are identical! It truly means that we should be respected equally. So there, now you can stop going off on feminists and our "dirty agenda" of pay parity, stopping violence against women, etc. You're welcome!
Your opinion is irrelevant in the face of facts. Look, I used to think I was a feminist until I actually read a few books. You should try it sometime. Turn off the TV, shut off the Spypad, and read a book. Then come back and we can talk.
Which books? Maybe you can read a few of my books, I can read some of yours, and we can get together for coffee to discuss. Maybe I will also stop thinking that women and men deserve both deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
