For what it's worth, I live in Pimmit Hills. I think development in Tysons is great for people like us who live nearby.  I'm sure my house value will go up and there will be more places and things to do in the immediate proximity.

With all that said, new Tysons (when it materializes) will never replace Arlington as a close-in, established, affluent suburb close to DC.  Arlington will stay what it is.  DC will stay what it is, always desirable for things that it has.  No one is competing with anyone and no one is taking anything away from anyone.  People who want to live in Arlington will always choose to live there if they can afford it.  The same is true about DC.  Stop this nonsense of "I'm the coolest nya nyah."[/quote]
