Football games are supposed to be casual affairs. There is a time and place to get dressed up, but football games are not included. Getting dressed up at a football game strikes me as an attempt to signal that one is of a higher social status than the typical football fan.  "Hey, look at me, I'm in a sorority or fraternity, and I'm showing off my status by wearing fancy clothes." [/quote]
