It's because of I-82, as restaurant owners have said, repeatedly. [/quote] Restaurants were crushed by COVID and WFH. Regardless of return to work, those customers haven't come back to the restaurants due to the price increases from inflation and I-82. I-82 wanted to address cost of living, but did it in a way that will never work. Now, DC is giving restaurants money to pay their employees the I-82 wages. Pure genius. [/quote]
