You can be a great a guy or at least a decent guy, but if you use online apps (which is how a very large % of relationships are formed now), none of your other positive qualities will show through very easily. If you’re in the bottom 25% of height you can be top 5% in every other metric and still get barely any attention. And meeting people irl is harder than it was in the past, lack of third spaces and the culture has shifted where it’s less acceptable to cold approach in public.
