He suffers from paralyzing anxiety and a deep desire to show off like Noem. Take both together, and even though he's not an unintelligent man, or an incompetent one, he is now functionally unintelligent and incompetent and cannot lead the FBI. He's overwhelmed and needs to go.

Agree. This was evident with his ridiculous showboating and desperation to fit in with the USA hockey team. But the human brain can also only handle so much trauma.....the files could definitely push someone one to self medicate [/quote]

I mean that he's probably of slightly above average intelligence, and generally competent. Could he have been an effective FBI director even under a more normal President? I don't think so. But a top level manager at a less intense organization, certainly. The theme of this administration is OVERREACH, and not just for Patel. [/quote]
