The former Knesset speaker was on Tucker and I agree with him — Tucker asked about greater Israel and berg said that in his assessment it is more likely in the long run that the borders go back to 48/67 and that even the settlements will be forcibly removed.
The borders of 1967 are touted as some sort of gold standard but they make no sense. Why would Palestinians get two states that don’t even border each other as a country? Why would Israelis want two sovereign Palestinian states on both sides of them with a military? I think Israel would even prefer 1948 over 1967. I think Israel should take the coastline (west of the country)because like the Lebanese they like to party and would make more use of the beach respectfully. Palestinians take the entire West of the country including Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho. . Jerusalem and all the Religious sites and peoples including Christian’s and Jews has historically been safest in Muslim hands (Muslims hold the key to the church of the holy sepulchre) not Jewish ones and definitely Not Christian ones. Nazareth and Bethlehem go to Arab Christians and go back to being 90% Arab Christian populated.
You sound like the British in 1947 drawing lines in the sand and divvying up the entire Middle East. We don’t get to impose those decisions.
