Anyone want to forecast who you think the top 4 teams will be in each age group this weekend?
I believe the following teams will win in their age bracket but good luck to all the teams. * 13 = Metro 13 Travel * 14 = Paramount 14 Jaz * 15 = VA Juniors 15 Elite * 16 = Paramount 16 Maureen * 17 = Paramount 17 Nick "Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No Excuses." - Kobe Bryant
I don't know enough about the younger age groups to make an informed forecast, but I am comfortable predicting that if if turns out that Paramount wins 3 or 4 age groups there will be some social media posts about being the CHRVA club with the most National bids :D
I still believe with continued hard work and a little luck of the draw, the following Paramount teams will make 'open' bids. - Paramount 14 #1 - Paramount 15 #1 - Paramount 17 #1
It's certainly possible. I see Paramount teams registered for both Big South and Far West. These are both tournaments that historically have slightly weaker fields (compared to Sunshine, Lone Star, MEQ, Show Me, etc) and can offer a good shot at picking up an open bid How have the Paramount teams done so far in open qualifiers? Even in a qualifier with lots of teams already having bids, a team still needs to make the gold bracket to be eligible to get a trickle down bid. The requirement to make the gold bracket to get a bid can play out in interesting ways. In the 18 Open division at MEQ this coming weekend, there are something like 17 teams that already have open bids (of 48 teams registered). They are taking 12 teams into the gold pools (4 pools of 3 teams). With those kinds of numbers, it's possible that no new team will get an open bid there, which seems a little counterintuitive given that more than 1/3 of the field already has open bids.
