It's interesting an I'm the one that said how development is on the planet a few posts back but I've seen almost zero emphasis on tactics at the two clubs my DC played for, one of which was Arlington.  I'm not trying to win because of tactics or shortcuts but I do want my DC and their teammates to understand how to play the game. Maybe mine is too young yet to see what you are talking about.

My daughter is on a U13 ECNL team this year (not dmv), and it's actually refreshing to see tactics. Development is still very suspect, but now that winning "matters" they're pulling out all the stops and probably way outperforming their talent level. That shouldn't be the only objective of course, but the winning is making everyone push harder individually with playoffs and top tier tournaments coming up.[/quote]
