I would expect you could do better.  I'm sure [i]even[/i] a student from Poolesville understands the relevance of methodology and scientific validity.  US News bible and marketing rankings is really scraping the bottom of the scientific pit in this regard.  Don't you agree?[/quote]

I think the US News rankings is useful and have meaning but its only one of several factors to consider.  As noted by one poster, the school is not the magnet.  Blair's magnet is untouchable in this area.    Poolesville is rising and should be even better in years to come as Montgomery county "fill out".  But to say Poolesvilles overall school  performs better than Blairs is a different matter than saying Poolesvilles magnet outperforms Blairs.  It doesn't no matter how you want to look at it.

The same thing goes with some of these magnets for younger kids which in some instances the schools are horrible but the magnet itself is a class apart.[/quote]
