All the returning it is immoral people. Suppose you bought a $45 sweater in your size without trying it on. Wore it out for dinner and realized one sleeve was 2 inches shorter than the other. Would you return it as defective? Would you contest an "unworn" policy given you didn't know it was defective before you wore it.?
There is a difference between “defective” and “I didn’t like it.” I think people have gotten so used to shopping online with unquestioned returns that they’ve lost common sense. If you’re shopping in person, you need to know the return policy and make sure you are happy with the item if they don’t accept returns. In the case of a defective item I think it would be fine to ask, and the store would be smart to take it back.
