CBS said it could be a problem. Colbert had 2 choices: Defend their stance of already having had Crockett on twice. Or, put Crockett on again to cover themselves, just in case. INSTEAD, they lied and said the FCC shut it down, then moved the interview to YouTube. This is fabricated drama. [/quote]
Colbert never said the FCC shut it down, he was very clear on the night of the interview and the next day that it was CBS’s lawyers who had opinions about it. Have you actually watched what he said?[/quote]

Colbert pretty blatantly lied in his incoherent  next-day monologue when and pretended that the problem was some Trump/Republican-related thing when it was actually either about him not wanting to put Crockett on CBS, or him wanting a publicity stunt.

I was confused about what CBS's statement was saying until I realized that  Dem Crockett was running against  Dem Talarico and that's what the "equal time" concern was about. [/quote]
