McPS just cancelled the Eid non instructional day as it was a designated makeup day when McPS uses the 1 snow day it incorporated into the calendar. It is now a school day (which sucks for Muslims who observe, but is better than last year’s fiasco of the three half days in June being added where students were encouraged not to attend.) Easter Monday wasn’t a designated makeup day so it wasn’t cancelled. Next year more holidays should be designated makeup days not just Eid and random days in June. [/quote]
