You must think this is just a bunch of soccer matches. Years of planning goes into it. There is no deviation from the plan. Host cities have received tens of millions of dollars for infrastructure improvements. Hotels are booked. Training sites are secured. You’re going to be very disappointed when nothing gets moved.[/quote]

Agree that as things now stand, games won’t get moved. If the violence gets significantly worse the calculation may change. There’s a big difference between boycotting an authoritarian regime and being afraid for the teams’ and fans’ safety.

It seems though in terms of attendance, the numbers of foreigners saying they won’t attend games in the United States are increasing.  The video of Renee Good being gunned down has shaken many people who were already edgy about the need for burner phones and whatnot to visit the U.S.  [/quote]
